A LITTLE GRAZING HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN OUR DNA.
Growing up, my mom would make my brother and I little grazing plates.
Nothing fancy—usually hot dogs, whatever we had in the fridge + a few different dipping sauces. We’d sit around, pick at everything, try a little of this and a little of that.
We loved it.
Looking back, I guess we were grazing before grazing was a thing.
And maybe that’s why it feels so natural that all these years later, we get to make a living doing exactly that.
IT STARTED WITH A BABY SHOWER.
In 2020, my mom and I were putting together my niece’s baby shower and decided to make individual cheeseboards for everyone to enjoy.
We had no idea those little boards would turn into anything more than one really fun celebration.
But people loved them.
Then came another order. And another. And somewhere along the way, that little baby-shower project turned into Butter.
What we knew pretty quickly was that we had found something we really loved.
Feeding people. Making things pretty. Creating reasons to gather.
And somehow, we get to do it every day.
We’re a Kansas City boutique catering company specializing in pretty food, thoughtful details + making hosting feel easy.
From a beautifully styled tray dropped at your door to a full-scale celebration, we’ve fed gatherings of 20 to 2,000+ people. Big or small, we’re here for it.

WHATEVER YOU’RE GATHERING FOR, WE’LL BRING THE GOOD STUFF.
We get to feed people all over this city—the neighborhoods, businesses, families, celebrations + communities that make Kansas City what it is.
And we’re pretty lucky to call it home.
FOOD WORTH GATHERING FOR.
Because really, that’s what we’ve been doing all along. Making food people want to gather around. And we still can’t believe we get to do it every day.
WE CAN’T WAIT TO GATHER WITH YOU.
