Cherry Bites- My late night snack obsession

Hey Butter friends—

You know those snacks that require approximately zero effort but somehow make you feel like you've really done something?

This is one of those.

I made these on a whim one afternoon, and now I can't stop. They're sweet, juicy, crunchy from the chocolate shell, and honestly feel a little fancy for taking all of ten minutes.

Meet my newest obsession...

Cherry Bites. 🍒

They're exactly what they sound like.

Fresh cherries dipped in chocolate.

That's it.

No baking.

No complicated ingredients.

No kitchen chaos.

Just a ridiculously good little treat that disappears faster than I can make them.

Cherry Bites

Makes: As many (or as few) as your heart desires.

You'll Need

  • 1 bag fresh cherries (washed and completely dry)
  • White chocolate or white candy melts
  • Dark chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate
  • Parchment paper

Butter Note 🤍: Make sure your cherries are completely dry before dipping. Chocolate and water are not friends.

Also you can do the exact same to raspberries!! :)

How to Make Them

Step One

Wash your cherries and let them dry completely.

Leave the stems on—they make dipping so much easier (and they're adorable).

Step Two

Melt your white chocolate according to the package directions.

Melt your dark chocolate in a separate bowl.

Step Three

Dip each cherry about three-quarters of the way into the chocolate.

Some in white.

Some in dark.

Some... both, if you're feeling extra.

Step Four

Place the cherries on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

If you'd like, drizzle the opposite chocolate over the top while everything is still fresh.

White over dark.

Dark over white.

Both are equally cute.

Step Five

Let the chocolate set completely.

You can leave them at room temperature or pop them in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes if you're impatient like me.

Butter Tips 🤍

✨ Mix dark and white chocolate for the prettiest presentation.

✨ Leave the stems on—they're part of the charm.

✨ Store them in the refrigerator for an extra refreshing summer snack.

✨ They look adorable piled onto a platter for parties or tucked into charcuterie boards.

These have become my favorite little afternoon treat lately.

They're simple enough to make on a random Tuesday but cute enough to serve at a shower, barbecue, girls' night, or summer party.

Honestly... they're proof that sometimes the easiest recipes are the ones you end up making over and over again.

P.S. What's one ridiculously simple snack you can't stop making lately? Because apparently mine is just "fruit dipped in chocolate," and I'm perfectly okay with that. 🍒✨

Frozen grapes is my go to right now. I did try the viral ones from Costco and they were trash but I just started making my own in ziplocs and then freezing them. My best friend does same but she adds tajin on top . Easiest afternoon snack. I’ll be among these cherries tonight. Thanks for sharing!
