Hey Butter friends,
How is it already March?! Shamrock shakes, Spring Break, longer days… what is happening. I’m not mad about it though — bring on the sunshine. ☀️
Going into this year, I didn’t really set big, dramatic New Year’s resolutions for Butter. It felt less about becoming something new and more about continuing to grow into who we already are. Staying rooted. Staying intentional. Staying us.
But there was one thing I really wanted to commit to: sharing more of the behind-the-scenes magic.
There is so much that goes into running a catering brand — the prep, the pivots, the problem solving, the branding, the tiny details no one sees — and I want to start bringing you into that world a little more. This blog feels like the perfect place to do it.
So we’re kicking things off with something extra fun: Emelia’s birthday party shoot.
We had the best time creating a spread full of her favorite things — branded burgers (because obviously), crispy fries, jello shots (non-alcoholic, don’t worry 😉), charcuterie, and the prettiest little macarons. It was playful, colorful, and so very her.
We booked the private gaming suite at Spark Wire in Platte City for the weekend, and it could not have been more perfect. The kids were living their best lives — gaming, laughing, screaming (the happy kind) — all tucked away in the lounge. Meanwhile, I was upstairs snacking and working on a puzzle in total peace. A true win-win.
I can’t believe my babe is 11 already.
Where does the time actually go? One minute you’re packing snacks and tying shoes, and the next you’re planning gaming-suite birthday parties. It’s wild. I’m so proud of her and also slightly unwell about how fast it’s all moving. 🥹
In other news — it’s been a quiet week here at Butter.
And if you’re on social media at all, you’ve probably seen it too… everyone saying this is that final calm before things go completely insane. I can feel it. The inbox is warming up. The inquiries are picking up. The spring calendar is filling. That little buzz is back.
We’re soaking up the slow while we have it.

✨ Meeting with Donna and the marketing team for Ellermania 2026!
This will be our third year being part of Ellermania and I truly cannot put into words what it means to us. It’s our biggest event of the entire year, and I have absolutely fallen in love with their team. It’s one of those partnerships that just feels aligned. We’ll definitely be sharing more behind-the-scenes planning as it unfolds.
✨ We’re headed to Chicago this weekend for something super exciting. I’m dying to spill, but I’ll make you wait just a little longer. Stay tuned.
